Neil Nabbefeld neil@revolutionpilates.com
Neil has over 20 years experience in fitness and movement therapy. He is a 13+ year veteran
of the Pilates Method (over 20,000 hours of teaching experience) and continues to pursue his
interests in the rehabilitative and pain management benefits of The Pilates Method, Gyrotonic® and other movement therapies.
Neil received his B.Sci., Geological Engineering in 1979, but it took the next five years to
discover his passion and a career path better suited to his soul. He has since gone on to gain a
variety of experience in the US and Australia.
Some of his professional qualifications include Fitness
Instructor Certification from the American College of
Sports Medicine; Grad. Cert in Pilates-based
Movement Therapy, an internationally Certified
Instructor and Pre-Trainer in Gyrotonic®; Certification in Polestar’s Pilates for Post-
Acute Rehabilitation; and has been teaching
practitioner workshops in applied Pilates Method
throughout Australia since 1995.
Neil was a graduate of the inaugural Australian Pilates
Method Association’s Level 1 Pilates Instructor Course
(1996) and has obtained a Grad. Cert. in Pilates-Based
Movement Therapy (2005). He has additional on-going
training and interests in many areas such as Body-Mind Centering?, The Feldenkrais
Method, the use of visualization, and the therapeutic/rehabilitative application of his
experiences.
Neil was co-founder of Origin Fitness
Alternatives in Melbourne, Victoria
(1995-2001). In 2001, he established
Revolution Pilates Studio in
Leederville, WA. It's popularity as a
studio and teacher-training facility
necessitated a move to the more
spacious Mt Hawthorn location in 2003.
Neil is a Registered Level 1 Instructor
Course Provider for the APMA,
teaching on the course since 1997. He
is a Practitioner Level 2 Member of the
Association, has been the APMA’s
liaison in WA since 2001, and sits as
itsVice President (2005-current). Neil is
currently the owner of Revolution
Pilates Studio in Mt Hawthorn, WA.
